Bonfire on the Snow

Snowshoe a short way to a glowing bonfire in the middle of a snow carved amphitheater. Enjoy the tour guides fun facts about the forest, its animals and night sky. Relax and enjoy hot drinks and desserts. This is available Dec. 26-31, Jan. 19&20, Feb. 16&17, March 23, 27, 30&31, and April 6, 13, and 20^th   from 7pm – 11:30pm. Lava Cave Tour

For Bend locals, most of us know about the Lava River Cave on Hwy 97. However, Wanderlust Tours is the only guide in Central Oregon permitted in these particular lava caves. They take you away from the crowds and you can experience the delicate ecosystem that is a lava cave without artificial lighting, parking lots, or paved pathways. It’s a 3 hour tour in a large, cool lava tube caves, you’ll discover secret rooms and what lives and grows in the caves. The experience is a family friendly one, welcoming kids 5 years old and up. Tour includes helmets, headlamps, a knowledgeable guide and transportation.

Starlight Snowshoe Tours

Get away from the light of the city, and learn about the constellations, watch for shooting stars and listen to the hush of the Cascades’ forest. Hot chocolate with marshmallows is served at the end of the four hour tour. Wear winter boots and ski pants on the tour, if you don’t have any, when you call to make a reservation include sizes and they will be brought to the pick-up site for you. Snowshoes are included as well as a guide and transportation.

Snowshoe Tours

Are you more interested in snowshoeing in the daylight? Wanderlust Tours’ guides take you to the Mt. Bachelor area and bring it to life with you. Whether you’re new to snowshoeing or wanting to learn for tricks and techniques, you can do all of the above in the same trip! Snowshoes are included, snow pants and boots are available to rent if you don’t have your own. Finish your tour off with some nice hot chocolate and marshmallows.

At Bend’s “Earth-Fire-Art” you can paint your own pottery at their pottery studio. It’s fun, customizable and the perfect gift for the holidays, birthday parties, weddings, or any other special occasion you may have.
