Second Annual Dash For Dads Run or Walk
Looking for a fun event for this fathers day? The second annual Dash for Dads (a run supporting prostate awareness) may be the event you have been looking for! Make this day extra special by bringing you dad and or your grandfather to this run/walk to honor those who have fought, are fighting or have survived prostate cancer.
Courses around Bend Pine Nursery are fun and accessible to runners and walkers. There are two different courses, one for the 5k run and one for the 1k walk.
There will also be a post race breakfast featuring Deschutes Brewery Beer.... Yes, beer for breakfast! What more could dad want to kick off an unforgettable fathers day!
Activities
- Ugly Tie Contest: Pull out those ugly ties that have been collecting dust in the back of your closet and put them to good use! Here are the categories:
* Wide
* Striped
* Printed
* Solid
* Textured
* Alternative
Awards for this contest will be announced at 10am.
- Run Awards Ceremony - 10am
- Breakfast and Festivities : This is open to all racers, friend and family - 10am - 12pm
Looking to Volunteer
Volunteers are more than welcome! Support for all of the racers is one of the most important pieces to the race puzzle! Participate in supporting the racers by working at one of the following:
* Registration and packet pickup
* On course support
* Assistance at the start or finish line
* Hospitality support

As an Attendee
As an attendee in the dash for dads run/walk, you are supporting the research of prostate cancer. All race entry fees go towards the important research, prevention and outreach of prostate cancer.

This is a great way to kick off Fathers Day and show your support to the many who have and will suffer from prostate cancer. Celebrate the lives that have been taken by prostate cancer! This is a wonderful opportunity to support the research and future prevention of prostate cancer.
